If you’re considering taking a road trip, this video may be all the inspiration you need. Guillaume Juin, a French filmmaker, recently took a road trip in Argentina and turned his travels into an incredible video documenting the roads of the South American country.
He told Lonely Planet that he went to Argentina in August for three weeks to explore two parts of the country: the northern Salta province and its incredible desert landscapes, and the southern part of the country, Patagonia and near El Calafate, with its glaciers and beautiful mountains. They visited famed spots like the Salinas Grandes, an incredible salt plain.
He captured the road trip – flat tyre and all – as they drove around the beautiful landscapes. The video also features shots of the clear night skies, as Juin explained that with the incredibly high altitudes in places like Salta, about 3000 to 4000 feet above sea level, the air is dry and free from city pollution, showing off a sky full of stars.
Juin said that while they had a car in Patagonia, they ended up walking a lot: 80 kilometres over four days through the El Chalten region. They also spent time in Buenos Aires, taking in a tango show and checking out the colourful streets.
