This drone footage highlights the hidden beauty of west Serbia

A new video has been released that features stunning drone footage of west Serbia, showing the hidden beauty that the region has to offer.

The footage was shot by Nenad Marić, a fireman from Bajina Basta city, and features stunning views of Lake Perucac, Lake Zaovine and the river Vrelo. “My desire is to introduce as many people as possible to all the beauties and natural treasures of my hometown. I hope that when people see the video they think, ‘Wow, this looks amazing, we should visit Serbia’!” Nenad told Lonely Planet News.

Nenad’s videos often include hikers, scouts, kayakers and other nature lovers enjoying the stunning surroundings. He has also produced a video that concentrates exclusively on his favourite place in West Serbia, the Tara National Park that can be seen below. “My favourite location is the viewpoint Banjska Stena in the National Park. I often leave my car and take a stroll there. I take some photos and record a little, but it is not rare that I put my equipment aside and just cherish the moment,” Nenad said.

For his next video, Nenad wants to take footage of Zaovine in winter to showcase that part of the Tara mountain covered in snow. He also hopes to capture the fishing season on the Drina next spring.
