Looking for a travel companion to join you on an epic adventure? Have you considered asking your mother? One globe-trotting tourist did just that, and has shared the details of the trip in a heart-warming video that documents their journey across the United States of America.
The video was created by Alex Pawlowska, a 27-year old blogger originally from Poland and charts the adventures that she had across the USA with her mother Halina. After years of discussing the idea of travelling together, the pair decided to set some time aside for a mother-daughter adventure from one side of the US to the other, visiting New York, Washington DC, Nashville, Knoxville and Los Angeles in a three week trip. “After losing my grandma I realised that my parents won’t be here forever and that I won’t be here forever either. I decided to start fulfilling my dreams now and stop postponing them. The right time will never come until we make it the right time,” Alex told Lonely Planet News.
The pair took in world-famous tourist sites throughout their time in the US, taking pictures and video footage that Alex later edited together as memento of their trip. She shared the video on her website called Alex Looking For Heroes, a home for an ongoing project that sees her collecting portraits and quotes from people with positive messages in different locations around the world.
The trip proved to be a bonding experience for the mother and daughter, with Alex taking pleasure in seeing her mother’s excitement throughout it and appreciating their time together. “I would recommend everyone to travel as much as they can and to spend as much time as possible with their loved ones. I would like to inspire people not to wait to fulfil their dreams. We only have one life and we don’t know how much time we have on this earth. Now is the right time to start living the lives we want to live,” Alex told Lonely Planet News.
