Bibliophiles from around the world have gathered to take part in the Frankfurt Book Fair, an event that brings together authors, publishers and book-lovers for the international publishing industry’s biggest trade fair.
The fair, which dates back more than 500 years, is expected to draw in about 275,000 visitors to the German city.
While the book fair is focused on the publishing industry, only the first three days are exclusively for professionals. The fair opens up to private visitors on Saturday (22 October) from 9 am until 6:30 pm and Sunday (23 October) from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Tickets are €19 for a one-day pass.
Visitors will be able to peruse through books and exhibits, go to a talk, and perhaps even get an author to sign a copy.
There will be more than 7100 exhibitors from more than 100 countries at the 68th edition of the book fair, which runs from 19 to 23 October.
