Agonising over what to wear on a night out could be a thing of the past, thanks to a new club night in London where the dress code is your birthday suit.

Soho’s The Takeover invites clubbers to strip off and let it all hang out at its “Get Naked” nights. “Soho is bohemian, sexual and liberating,” Josh Walker, PR for the event explained. “The venue is intimate, so we are expecting a sell-out.” It’s not only the clubbers that will be naked, waiting staff, musicians and hula-hoopers will all be without clothing. Nudity isn’t mandatory, but clubbers are advised they may experience contact with sweaty naked bodies on the dance floor. Body painters will be on hand to help shy clubbers feel more comfortable by offering to decorate their bodies with paint.

Those who have no problem getting entirely naked will be awarded with a bottle of champagne. “Sometimes people like to relax; life in London can be restrictive and 2016 is the year of people getting naked and we thought why not create a new offering”, Walker said. Earlier this year, London’s first naked pop-up restaurant Bunyadi opened, along with a nudist sun terrace that launched in Westminster over the summer. Get Naked nights were set to kick off on Friday 7 October but the launch has been postponed. The nights are scheduled to run every two weeks, and tickets are reportedly selling “like hotcakes.”
