Would you Adam and Eve it? An English landlord is offering a tent as accommodation through home rental website Airbnb and is billing it as an ‘eco home’ with a ‘home office.’ For £30 a night, owner Jo is renting out what he describes as a large spacious tent suitable for two people located in a large leafy garden on Plaistow Road in Stratford, London.
It comes complete with a double bed and a live/work area, and is equipped with a desk, sound system and desktop PC. Jo believes that the rental would suit couples, solo adventurers and business travellers.
Anyone renting the tent can use the kitchen and bathroom in the house, and there is also a hammock in the garden. It is situated a convenient five-minute walk to Plaistow Tube station.
Jo, who recently moved back to London from Hong Kong, believes that anyone who chooses to stay in the tent will love it because they can enjoy nature as they wake up to the sound of birdsong and the smell of fresh air.
A Japanese guest called Matsumi who stayed in the tent left this review of the listing. “We stayed for one week. There was just tent and mattress. Tent was little bit small for two people. But, people who lived there were good people. For the person who is used to the outdoor, it is recommended.”
