With its shining silver exterior and eye catching design, the Airstream trailer has become a world famous classic camper. Now, the company has released a smaller version, allowing road trip enthusiasts the chance to own a beautiful mobile home at a reduced cost and size.
Starting at $34,900, the Airstream Basecamp is a compact trailer with well-designed features that allow it to be used in a multitude of different ways. The trailer can sleep up to two people and has seating space for up to five passengers. It is lightweight and towable with an SUV and features an aerodynamic design that increases fuel efficiency.
Large wheels and tires on the vehicle tackle tougher terrain and cold-weather driving, while side skirts and flares help prevent damage from gravel and debris in rougher areas. The aluminium structure offers panoramic front window views, a solar pre-wire kit for renewable power inputs and a set up option for adding adjoining tents to the structure to sleep more people.
The Airstream Basecamp also has an optional air conditioning unit and a state of the art heating system for colder climates. A bathroom and shower is incorporated into the design, offering some home comforts for adventurers.
The company is currently accepting reservation requests for the Airstream Basecamp, which is expected to begin delivery and roll-out in October.
