Luxury is the keyword at this new curated festival celebrating everything in music, food and champagne.
Krug Island festival is a partnership between Krug Champagne, music icon Mick Jones of The Clash and Big Audio Dynamite fame and Michelin-starred chef Michael O’Hare.
Jones will be curating the music acts for the day and has hand-picked a mix of leading and emerging names on the UK music scene. His line-up includes Rationale, Hollie Cook, Sugarmen and Willow Robinson. Jones calls the festival an “opportunity to make some great music in a unique location.”
Meanwhile, Michael O’Hare will be responsible for all the food at the event. Famous for his avant-garde restaurant in Leeds – The Man Behind the Curtain – he’ll be bringing his theatrical approach to cooking to the celebration.
The event will take place on Osea Island, Maldon, Essex, a luxury holiday resort boasting four square miles of beaches, fields and gardens. It’s also become somewhat of a music heritage site, hosting artists like George Ezra, Noah and the Whale and Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac fame. Guests can avail of transport to and from London for the festival.
Krug Island takes place on 1 September and a limited number of tickets are now available online from £449 per person. There are also a number of post-event packages that include stays in the Manor House, Krug champagne and even a recording session if you’re feeling inspired.
