Sounds delicious eh, but the only catch is that you have to have four legs to avail of it and your meal will be served in a bowl – although it’s a porcelain one. Yes the Hotel Bristol in Austria has opened its doors to pets, which is great news for animal-lovers everywhere who would like to holiday with their beloved companion.
Dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles and friends are all welcome at the pet-friendly hotel, where management have gone out of their way to make sure they have a fabulous stay. Dogs are given a chewable bone when checking in that is personalised with their name, and comfy beds, blankets, hand towels, toys and organic pet shampoo are provided in the room to make them feel at home.
Pets are welcomed with open arms at the Bristol Lounge or can avail of room service if they prefer to dine privately. it certainly won’t leave them feeling ruff, as the menu has already been personally approved by the management’s own dog Brix. Snacks and cookies are also available, and customers can avail of vegan and vegetarian options. The red carpet is also rolled out for pets at the hotel bar.
The hotel provides a a Viennese city guide to visitors outlining places in the city where dogs are especially welcome and where to go if a pet emergency arises, and they can arrange a dog-sitter and after-dinner walking service to take care of the pet if its owners can’t bring it somewhere. The concierge provides Viennese snacks for the dogs when they are leaving the hotel to see the city’s attractions, in case they get the munchies en route.
This luxurious stay is provided for €50 per pet per day, from which €5 is donated to the animal welfare organisation, TierQuartier Wien.
