If you fit into the latter category, then you’ll be delighted to hear that the first zip line over the sea in Europe is now up and running in Crikvenica, on the Croatian Adriatic coast near Rijeka. These new zip tours are growing in popularity and Croatia is leading the way. It’s best known goes down the canyon of the Cetina River where daredevils can experience speeds of close to 65 km/h on a steel wire rope, secured by a belt. According to Croatia Week online magazine, the new zip line over the sea allows participants to get a special view of the Kačjak peninsula from 100 feet up as they race across the 500 metre wire.
