New luxury resort in the Maldives will feature an underwater restaurant

For travellers who would pass up scuba diving for wining and dining, a new underwater restaurant is opening at a resort in the Maldives, which will let guests enjoy the sea without ever getting wet.

OZEN by Atmosphere, a new resort opening at Maadhoo, Maldives, will include M6m, an underwater dining experience. The resort says the restaurant “showcases stunning underwater views whilst dining on exceptionally masterful seafood specialty dishes”.

The 5-star resort will include a luxury all-inclusive plan for guests, which offers “exotic Champagnes”, cocktails, wine, and fine dining experiences, which includes dining under the sea. But dining under the sea will not have to stop visitors from jumping right in, as the Maldives offer some of the best diving and snorkelling world-wide.

While renderings of what the restaurant will look like have been released, the resort will officially open its doors on 15 July and the new experience will be unveiled.

There is a precedent for dining under the sea in the Maldives – the country is home to the first undersea restaurant, located at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island.
