The ‘prisoner’ is looking in the direction of the camera after being swallowed whole by the opportunistic predator.

The photo was taken off Byron Bay in Australia at a time when they fish was still alive inside the jellyfish’s body and trying  to escape.

The Guardian reports Samuel as saying it propelled the host fish around, resulting in the pair “doing circles.”

He said he had been tempted to free the fish during the shoot last December.

However, in the end, he decided “to let nature run its course.’

Jellyfish are known to eat several things, including plants, fish eggs and larvae.

They have been known to eat other jellyfish but swallowing fish this size is unusual.
