If you struggle to match your luggage set meticulously to your luxury car, Rolls-Royce is on hand to solve your first-world problems; a set of luggage that will set you back US$45,000.
The luggage is designed to compement their ‘Wraith’ car, dubbed the most powerful Rolls-Royce yet. Owning a Wraith is not strictly necessary however, as the luggage can be custom built to your exact specifications.
The luggage was designed under guidance from Head Butlers from some of the world’s most luxurious hotels who “offered insight into the interaction between guests and their belongings”…and presumably have carried quite a lot of luggage in their time.
So what does $46,000 buy you? One might expect a personal Wi-Fi hotspot, a whole host of gadgets or perhaps even a self-rolling suitcase; however, Rolls-Royce had other ideas.
The features of the luggage set include an invisible stitch, lightweight carbon casing, “strategically placed wheels” and a garment carrier than has been designed for a tuxedo or evening gown. All the luggage has also been created by master craftsmen wearing white gloves “so as to preserve and protect the leather of unequalled quality”.
Rolls-Royce are keen to stress that the handles of the luggage have been specially designed for even weight-distribution “meaning no undue pressure is placed on the hand”. It’s not immediately clear who’s hand will be carrying the luggage and benefit from this thoughtfulness.
If the Wraith luggage set sounds like the answer to all your pesky travelling problems, you can rush down to your local Rolls-Royce dealership now to order yours.
