IMG Worlds of Adventure is Dubai’s first international mega-themed leisure and entertainment destination, according the owners, Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group (IMG Group).

The $1 billion park will feature iconic Marvel super heroes like Spider-man, the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and The Avengers in rides and attractions like the “Avengers Battle of Ultron”, “Spider-Man Doc Ock’s Revenge”, “Avengers Flight of the Quinjets” and more. The Cartoon Network rides and attractions will feature favourites like The Powerpuff Girls and character from Adventure Time.

The theme park is entirely indoors and covers 1.5 million square feet, according to the website. The park will be able to accommodate 30,000 people per day and the owners are expecting 4.5 million guests in its first year of operation.

The park will feature Cartoon Network and Marvel worlds, as well as the Lost Valley-Dinosaur Adventure. It will also include 25 original retail concept stores.

The IMG Worlds of Adventure is not the only park in the United Arab Emirates bringing famous characters to life. Abu Dhabi is set to get a Warner Bros. themed destination that will bring together the worlds of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the Looney Tunes.

That project is also reported worth about $1 billion and rides are in production with the first phase expected to open in 2018.

The development in the UAE will include the only Warner Bros. branded hotel alongside an immersive theme park.

The Warner Bros. park is just another extension of the UAE’s growing list of themed-attractions. It will be next to the world’s first Ferrari branded theme park and the iconic Emirati-themed mega water park, Yas Waterworld.
