NASA released a video of the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis as seen from space and it is the most beautiful thing you’re likely to see today.
The video was shot from the International Space Station and it uses time-lapses to showcase the beauty of the dancing lights across earth’s atmosphere. Both phenomena occur when the protons and electrons in the Earth’s magnetic field collides with the upper atmosphere.
The footage is one of its kind and showcases the magic of the dancing lights. British astronaut Tim Peake tweeted an image of the Aurora Australis that is equally amazing.
