See what it’s like to cruise down a Canadian mountain on a new single track coaster

A mountain resort in Canada will soon open a new summer attraction – a single-track coaster that allows thrill-seekers to hit speeds of 42kmph as they cruise down a mountainside.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort in British Columbia will open the Pipe Mountain Coaster on 21 May. The resort is a popular ski and snowboard hill and boasts the longest vertical drop of any North American ski resort. The mountain coaster will run 1.4 km from Revelation Lodge to the Village Plaza and drops 279 vertical metres over the course of the ride.

For anyone who would rather check out the beautiful Rocky Mountains than hit 42kmph speeds, don’t fear; riders will be able to control their own speed on the ride as they weave through the ski runs, forest and a tunnel, according to the resort.
