Thousands expected to take part in Paris marathon this weekend

Almost 50,000 runners are expected to take to the streets for the Paris marathon this weekend. The race will cross the city from east to west, from the Bois de Vincennes to the Bois de Boulogne, with thousands of spectators lining the route.

Security has been ramped up ‘considerably’ for as a result of the recent terror attacks in Europe, with more security guards drafted in, an increased number of metal detectors used and bags searched. Read more:  Thelocal.fr
