Temples of Angkor to get connected with camouflaged mobile towers

Cambodia’s  Temples of Angkor archaeological complex is set to be dotted with telecommunications towers disguised as trees, as part of a plan to improve mobile coverage for visitors to the site.

It will be the first time that telecommunications towers have been permitted within the World Heritage area, with six towers to be in place by the end of June and 18 more planned for the future. It is hoped that the use of tree camouflages will minimise the visual impact of the antennas. Read more: ttrweekly.com
