Londoners get ready, because for the first time EVER an outdoor beach club is coming to the capital.
Electronic music venue Studio 338 in Greenwich will be importing 180 tonnes of sand and setting up some wooden decking to really recreate that beach holiday feel in among the city’s skyscrapers.
There’ll also be cabanas, two beach bars, sunbathing decks, hammocks – basically everything you could possibly want from a beach bar.
And don’t worry about the unreliable British weather putting a dampener on things because the venue will also be covered by some detachable sails just in case.
Since opening in March 2014, Studio 388 has been committed to standing out from the rest. It has invested heavily in the venue, with the recent announcement of a glass and steel atrium also to be installed in the coming months.
It has already hosted some amazing parties like Elrow and Cocoon – and the sets lined up for the Beach are no different.
It all kicks off on 4 June with Sankeys Beach Festival, starring veterans DJ W!ld and Phil Weeks as well as newcomers Citizenn and David Mayer.
Then throughout July there’ll be shows by techno brand Cocoon, underground party Art of Dark and human music station Beardyman, as well as some secret live sessions.
