Space tourism society proposes $2 billion Mars theme park in Las Vegas

John Spencer, founder of the Space Tourism Society, which aims to promote the expansion of travel in space, has proposed a Las Vegas attraction that would bring the Red Planet down to Earth.

His $2-billion-dollar proposal seeks to create a theme park in Las Vegas that would give visitors a chance to experience simulated Mars walks, a Rover space tram, a concert space and an “animatronic petting zoo for children.” Many believe the project to be an unattainable “moonshot,” Mr Spencer has already begun a second round of $17 million in financing for the project.
