Uganda's Ziwa Sanctuary welcomes another newborn baby rhino

Conservation circles in Uganda are expected to be celebrating Tuesday as news of the birth of baby rhino number eleven at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary breaks.

With just three breeding-age females, the 11th birth in seven years is a remarkable achievement and is thought to be a result of the conductive breeding conditions at Ziwa. The sanctuary started with four adult rhinos (two males and two females), all of whom were imported from the Solio Game Reserve in Kenya’s central highlands. Two additional adults were then donated by Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida. Read more: eturbonews.com
