Toyko: Narita and Kansai International airports open fast-lane immigration service

Tokyo’s Narita Airport and Kansai International Airport, near Osaka, will launch a special fast-track immigration service this week to speed up the entry process for foreign visitors arriving in Japan to attend conferences, and for visitors deemed to be VIPs.

As well as reducing waiting times, the service is in response to government push to make Japan a more tourism-oriented country. To use the fast-track service, visitors will have to have been issued a coupon in advance by their airline, with about five people per flight expected to use the lanes. Read more: japantimes.co.jp
