Five bridges across the Han River in Seoul will get a little bit brighter this year thanks to the addition of external lighting.
The city announced it would add lighting to five bridges, bringing the total lit bridges to 18. It hopes that the colourful evening lights will turn the bridges into tourist attractions. The first two – Haengju and Dongjak bridges – will have their lights turned on on 1 May in time for an influx of Japanese and Chinese visitors for the May holiday. The other four bridges will be lit in October.
