World’s first island marathon to be held in Vietnam

The island of Phu Quoc  off Vietnams’s southern coast is set to host the world’s first ever full international marathon held on an island.

According to organisers, the race in the popular beach destination will take place down the southern half of the island, and there will be multiple events, including a half marathon, plus 10km, 5km and 1km races, in addition to the full 42km race.
