In what could be a wine-lover’s dream come true, white wine flowed from Bern’s Moses Fountain this week instead of water.
Wine from a local city vineyard gushed from the ornate water fountain, which dates back to 1544 and stands in front of the Bern Cathedral. Residents were commemorating when Bern was chosen instead of Zurich as Switzerland’s federal capital in 1848.
