The store will cover 1000 square metres and, in addition to sales of LEGO products, it will contain play areas and giant scale models made out of LEGO bricks. The opening of the new LEGO Shanghai store will coincide with Shanghai Disney Resort’s opening day on 16 June.

LEGO have also announced the opening of a new LEGOLand Discovery Center at Parkside Plaza (长风京畔广场) in western Shanghai. The attraction, which has been described as a ‘mini-LEGOLand’, will feature themed pavilions, rides, 3D attractions and LEGO play areas. It will open on 2 April. Read more: shanghaiist.com
