Techno-loving grandpa from Berlin seeks crowdfunding for Burning Man festival trip

A 67-year-old techno lover from Berlin has a dream of making it to the USA’s  famous Burning Man festival, and he’s looking for backers to make it happen.

After finding techno late in life, Bernhard “Komet” Enste has become legendary on the Berlin club scene and has even been named “ultimate dancer” of superclub Berghain. Now he’s set up a crowdfunding campaign to realise his ultimate dream of attending the seven-day festival in the Nevada desert. He hopes to raise €18,500, much of which will be used to create a documentary about his journey. Enste will repay his supporters’ generosity in a variety of ways; he will send “cosmic energies” to those who pledge €10, while a €5000 donation will earn the well-wisher a hand-hewn wooden statue of the ageing raver.
