The Shard, famous for its splinter-like appearance on London’s skyline, has public viewing platforms on the 68th, 69th and 72nd floors – giving visitors a view of the city from 244 metres up.

The man landed somewhere around Borough Market and ran from the scene before police arrived, according to media reports.
