Ferenc Monostori from Hungary is working on the head of Charles Darwin at the sand sculpture show in Binz on Ruegen island, Germany, Wednesday. With the motto ‘Fascination Nature’, 50 sand artists create sand sculptures that lead to the five continents of planet Earth.

Tributes to the record producer known as the Fifth Beatle, Sir George Martin, are placed at The Cavern, Liverpool following his death aged 90. Sir George helped The Beatles achieve global success while head of the Parlophone record label after hearing their demo tape in 1962. His family confirmed he died peacefully at his home as tributes poured in from the world of music and beyond.
