Japan creates online medical guide for tourists

As visitor numbers to Japan continue to increase, the Japan Tourism Agency has published a ‘Guide for when you are feeling ill’ online – a compilation of medical institutions that are particularly useful for tourists due to having foreign-language-speaking staff and 24-hour access.

The guide includes 326 facilities across all but one of Japan’s prefectures, includes information about the procedures for visiting medical institutions in Japan, and has a search function that allows filtering by area and language.
