This weekend is Mother’s Day in the UK and Ireland and many will be out and about in search of entertaining ways of celebrating. The USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and most other European countries wait until the second weekend of May to celebrate mothers. Thankfully, this weekend seems set to offer you plenty of options if you are stuck for something suitably inspiring. Here’s our selection of great events around the world this weekend!

A big show at Victoria’s National Gallery in Melbourne has been ‘the’ exhibition to check out Down Under. Andy Warhol/AiWeiWei sets two icons of 20th and 21st century in an effort to look at their influence on pop culture and contemporary life. The huge exhibit includes more than 300 works by Warhol and 120 by Ai.

Le Salon de l’Agriculture is Paris’s beloved agricultural festival that takes place from the end of February to the beginning of March.
