34th annual Yongpyong ski festival gets underway in South Korea

The Yongpyong International Ski Festival kicks off in South Korea for the 34th year in a row today.

The festival, which is held at Yongpyong Ski Resort in Pyeongchang county (host of the 2018 Winter Olympics), will see 300 competitive skiiers from 25 different countries participating in a variety of competitions and races from 4-6 March. Additionally, regular skiiers and snowboarders can avail of 50% discounts on lift tickets and equipment hire. Yongpyong is one of South Korea’s most popular ski resorts, with 31 slopes and 15 lifts.
