Stonehenge to scale is coming to Austrian exhibition
Stonehenge is to be reconstructed to scale in the MAMUZ Museum Mistelbach in Lower Austria as part of an exhibition on the Stone and Bronze ages in the region.
The exhibition will open on 20 March, and unlike at the original site of Stonehenge, visitors will be able to actually touch the stones. Discoveries have been made in Austria that archeologists describe as earlier versions of the 4000-year-old monument in Wiltshire, England and the museum will provide information about these too.
