According to Cuba’s official paper, the Stones would play in the Ciudad Deportiva, a Havana sports complex built in 1957. However, The Rolling Stones have not confirmed the news, as apparently there are details that haven’t been “finalised” according to Billboard.

Granma described the visit as “a historic moment that will open the doors for other great bands to arrive in Havana”.

Whilst it hasn’t been confirmed by the band, the Stones are currently touring South America on their Olé Tour, with stops in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo having recently hosted concerts. What’s more, rumour around the Stones playing Cuba began in October 2015 when Mick Jagger visited the country on what is believed to have been a scouting trip for an appropriate venue.
