More houses opening to the public at Pompeii

Officials at the Pompeii archaeological site in southern Italy have announced that they will soon be opening even more ancient Roman villas to the public.

The newly opened sites will include the House of Julia Felix, which was a luxurious spa, and the Little House of the Orchard, which boasts a number of colourful frescoes. In addition to the new sites, various new access routes around the town will be opened, in an attempt to prevent the usual routes from being worn down by the large numbers of visitors.
