Thailand refuses tourist with pages torn from passport

A 28-year-old British tourist was denied entry to Thailand because she ripped pages out of her passport to use as toilet paper during a drunken night out several years earlier.

Faye Wilson was escorted onto a flight home by a security guard after reportedly telling Bangkok airport immigration officials that she had ‘lost’ the pages, having been too embarrassed to disclose the real reason. The hairdresser, who was planning on spending a month in Thailand before working for a year in Australia, was forced to apply for an emergency passport in the UK before she can fly back out to meet the friend she left behind in Thailand.
