Robot guide gets to work at Tokyo airport

A robot guide called Nao was put to work for Japan Airlines at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on Tuesday in the first stage of the airline trialing the humanoid technology.

The 60cm tall robot speaks English, Chinese and Japanese and gives information to travellers about flight schedules, airport facilities, and weather at their destinations. French-made Nao is being placed in security check and departure counter areas for the short trial, and will make another appearance later in the month.
