An amazing piece of drone footage captures beautiful shots of the Australian coastline.
Filmmaker Tim Eddy has employed a drone to explore the coasts of New South Wales, from Byron Bay to Lennox Head. The short film captures all the powerful beauty of the coast as it takes in lighthouses, green waters, whales and schools of dolphins.
Although the film is independently produced by Eddy, many viewers actually believed it was for the tourism board, as it presented Australia in all its majestic beauty, with a focus on the life of its oceans. Australia’s new tourism campaign has been focusing on its marine biodiversity, and Eddy’s footage is full of shots of humpback whales breaching the water and playing with their calves. Earlier in the year the tourism board also announced Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth would be taking the role as Australian ambassador.
Eddy’s drone footage, which was filmed over a month, highlights the importance of the Australian coastline. It has the largest coastline in the world at 35,876 km and it’s the one of the largest countries to be an island.
