Australian windsurfs 13 metre wave in Portugal

An Australian man has become the first person to windsurf the 13 metre waves of Nazaré in Portugal.

Nazaré is famed for its massive waves which windsurfer Jason Polakow spent a year studying before his attempt to ride them. Polakow says surfing the wave was the greatest moment in his career but that he hopes to go on to break the current world record set in Hawaii where a windsurfer took on an 18 metre wave.
