Dubai to open giant book-shaped library

Dubai is set to open a massive library in Al Jaddaf that has been designed to look like an open book.

The 66,000 square metre Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will be open to the public in 2017 and will feature reading areas, a stage, a cinema, visual and auditory libraries and internet services.The library will also host live presentations, documentaries and lectures. In the meantime Dubai is gearing up for the eighth annual Emirates Airline Literary Festival (1-12 March), the Middle East’s longest literary festival.
