Chongqing to get a Madame Tussauds museum

The international wax museum Madame Tussauds has announced it will open its newest venue in Chongqing, China.

The brand has announced its fifth museum in China will open in the southwestern metropolis this summer. The museum will feature a typical array of wax figures, including Hollywood stars, sports figures and international celebrities. Figures of Prince William and Kate Middleton have already gone on display in Chongqing to promote the new museum. This is not the first wax museum to open in Chongqing – last year , a wax museum near the city fell under scrutiny when it purportedly displayed figures of celebrities without their permission.
