Annual “Yuck” festival takes place on Croatian island

The coastal town of Omišalj on Krk island in Croatia will be hosting its sixth annual Bljak Fest on 23 January.

“Bljak” means “yuck” in Croatian, and the festival celebrates unusual foods that are not to everyone’s taste, such as tripe, chicken feet, tongue, brain and kidneys. All food at the festival is free, but you do have to pay for a drink to wash it down. Read more: croatiaweek.com
