Japan opens its first women-only geek cafe

A new cafe catering exclusively to lady geeks has opened in Osaka – the first such cafe designed only for female customers in the generally male-dominated otaku subculture.

 At the cafe, located in the Nipponbashi shopping district, women can browse manga and magazines, play video games, or sew their cosplay outfits at the dedicated work tables. While there is no membership fee, customers are required to take an otaku test before entry – keeping the cafe a normie-free zone. Read more: pop.inquirer.net
