Famous Hollywood mountain lion makes a comeback

He has a name like a Star Wars character and in 2015 a stroll in front of the Hollywood sign earned him celebrity status, but it hasn’t always been good news for mountain lion P-22 over the last couple of years.

In 2014 an image of him in his home territory of Los Angeles’ Griffith Park  showed him thin and suffering from mange, possibly as a result of ingesting rat poison, which affected his skin. But now a new image is showing P-22 almost as good as new and ready for his close-up, with a little weight gain and a much healthier coat thanks to treatment he received from the National Park Service.
