Bid to get Nobel prize for Greek islands launched

Activists from the US have launched a campaign to nominate the Greek Islands for the Nobel Prize for Peace for their response to the refugee crisis throughout 2015.

The campaign praises the efforts of the local population of Greece’s Aegean islands in helping Syrian refugees who continue to arrive by boat, despite the longstanding and severe economic crisis in Greece. Read more: greece.greekreporter.com
