Hollywood star in quarantine row with Australia

American actor Amber Heard, wife of the Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp, is facing two counts of breaching Australia’s quarantine laws by allegedly bringing their dogs, Pistol and Boo, to Australia on a private jet in May 2015.

Heard faces fines of up to $100,000 or a sentence of ten years in prison for illegal importation and one count of producing a false document. It is believed the actor will plead not guilty to the charges.
