From this week you’ll be able to enter an airport terminal in the US and get on a plane in Mexico.
The new cross-border terminal is thanks to a quirk of geography and planning which means that Tijuana International Airport sits right on the US-Mexico border. The new terminal lies just to the north, in San Diego, and has an overpass that allows passengers to walk above the highly fortified border and catch a plane in Tijuana, where there are connections to around 30 Mexican destinations.
