New bomb checks introduced at Swiss airports

An extra level of security is being introduced at all of Switzerland’s airports from September first. Spot bomb checks, which will detect explosives, will be carried out as a standard procedure using trace detection devices.

The test doesn’t use radioactive sources and it is said to be ‘absolutely harmless’. These checks won’t replace the current body checks but will be used in conjunction. Read more: thelocal.ch
