Copenhagen's Circle Bridge opens after three-year delay

A new bridge for cyclists and pedestrians opened on Saturday in Copenhagen, almost three years later than planned.

The Cikelbroen (Circle Bridge) provides an easier way to cross the Christianshavn Canal, and is just one of a number of initiatives intended to make it easier to navigate the city’s inner harbour area. Over 7,000 people turned out to the grand opening of the 32-metre-long bridge, which is made of five interlinked circular platforms. Read more: thelocal.dk
