Rickshaw driver crushed to death by giant tiger statue in Dhaka

An unfortunate rickshaw driver has been crushed to death by a giant tiger statue in the middle of Dhaka.

The twin statues of royal Bengal tigers at Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar junction were are a familiar city landmark, but the larger of the two tigers toppled from its plinth onto waiting traffic. The accident comes shortly after a survey revealing plummeting numbers of real tigers in Bangladesh’s famous Sundarbans National Park. Read more: thedailystar.net
